Gargoyles are monsters and monstrous concepts carved into stone. Artists take their inspiration for these monsters from a variety of places.

V is for Vader. But Alien and Gizmo (from Gremlins) also have found there way to the sides of cathedrals.

  1. I have seen images of that Vader gargoyle before. I mean, it makes sense that we would use figures from pop culture for those now, as I’m sure the traditional gargoyles were what was known back in the day, and now we have different sorts of monsters that all of us recognize.
