I got called in to work on my day off, which happens a lot during the tax season, and spent the dead time thinking about what I would like to do as a challenge. A letter “A” story popped into my head (FINALLY, because I have been thinking about the A-to-Z challenge for a while now) and IĀ banged out the beginning. With that in hand, I knew what I wanted for the challenge.
I will be publishing short stories (over 2,000 words), not flashes, but they will be broken up into 500 word chunks, with a different story each week. Once I’m done, I will gather them up and polish them and then do something with them under the title of: “The Small Courages of Giants”.
Each story will be about someone with hidden problems like chronic illness or being neuro-atypical pushing their limits to try to accomplish the incredible and ordinary.
This sounds like an intriguing theme. Glad you’re taking part this year. Great diversity inclusion!
Our theme is the writing journey. If you have a moment, we’d love a vote on our image choices. š
I love short stories, though they aren’t easy to write. Good luck with your challenge – I’m looking forward to your posts!
Thank you. I dropped by your blog today. Sounds like you have your hands full fleshing out your world. I didn’t leave a comment because wordpress requires you to log on and it is linking to day-job š
