Figuring out an “X” from my bookquote collection took some doing, but I think this one works. It’s amazing what you find in children books. Even if you aren’t much of a reader, explore this series. Most libraries carry at list some of them.

Yes, one of the reasons to keep women undereducated too.
People want a leader they “could have a beer with” and fear leaders they think might pull the wool over their eyes. Conversely, leaders fear a populace that’s smarter than THEY are, for fear they’ll figure out they already HAVE.
I want a leader I can play chess with.
When people are afraid of education, it tells more about them than it says about the education.
